Tiffin Etc.

Indian pizza...two we never thought we'd see together. Surprisingly, however, it was pretty good. The crust and sauce weren't necessarily life-altering, but the addition of traditional Indian "subzis" on top made the final product scrumptious.

We ordered two different pizzas from Tiffin Etc., a spin-off of the Indian restaurant Tiffin located in Fishtown. The first one was a murgh makhni (also known as butter chicken) pizza. It was very flavorful, and the cheese didn't clash with the curry, as you expect it might have. The sauce, which was simply the curry of the original chicken dish, was perfectly integrated into the pizza. The second pizza was a paneer tikka pizza. This one was not as flavorful as the first, and the spiciness of the curry was not as apparent. In fact, we wound up wishing the paneer had a little more flavor to it, as it wound up diluting the taste of the pizza. Here's a picture, status post chow down:

Rating: 3/5 paneers

Fascinating review. I find it even more interesting that you make only minimal mention of any food or restaurant that doesn't involve CHICKEN!!! Something smells fishy and I am guessing it isnt the fish cause you probably never had it! I call B.S. and am seriously wondering if you have even ever tasted bacon...

Wow!! I cant believe what a tool this "anonymous" guy is. He obviously has way too much time on his hands if he is able to sit around all day and write pompous comments on websites about food. Also, Im seriously questioning his personal hygiene as he sits in front of his computer, most likely alone, and smells something fishy. One word...shower.
